London | England : A Quick Guide to Planning Your Adventure

[ Buckingham Palace – London, England ]

Accommodation: St Christopher’s Hostel [ two nights ] and Gallery Hyde Park [ two nights ]. I highly recommend St Christopher’s Hostel. Read online reviews for the second. While the staff were extremely friendly, the actual hostel [ room, bed and cleanliness ] didn’t meet my personal expectations.

Pretty cool: The Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour is an inexpensive and efficient way to see all of the major sites [ Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, St. Paul’s Cathedral, etc. ].

Don’t miss it: An afternoon in the Camden neighborhood. Pick up a bottle of wine and watch the sun set over the city on Primrose Hill in Regent’s Park.

Wish I had more time for: A day trip to Stonehenge and Brighton Beach.

Must try food/drink: English tea mid afternoon.

Here’s a hint: As expected, London was overwhelmingly crowded in July. Try to visit in the off season, if possible.

[ Next stop ]: Purchased a round trip train ticket to Bath, England
